Pending Your application is still waiting for a result from SASSA. Open the Pending page
Approved Your SRD application was approved. Approval does not always mean payment has already been made. Open the Approved page
Declined Your application was refused. You can appeal each declined month separately within 90 days. Open the Declined page
Referred Your application was sent for a further check. Open the Referred page
Bank details pending SASSA still needs to receive or confirm your banking details. Open the Bank details pending page
Alternative income source identified SASSA's checks point to another income source. Open the Alternative income source identified page
UIF registered SASSA's checks show a UIF record. Open the UIF registered page
Cancelled The grant or application was stopped. This is not the same as Declined. Open the Cancelled page

What each status means in detail

Pending

SASSA's system returned "Pending". This means your application is still waiting for a result. SASSA does not publish a reason for each status. Read the full explanation of Pending to see what to check next.

Approved

SASSA's system returned "Approved". This means your SRD application was approved. Approval does not always mean payment has already been made. Read the full explanation of Approved for what to check next.

Declined

SASSA's system returned "Declined". This means your application was refused. You can appeal each declined month separately within 90 days. Read the full explanation of Declined for the next step.

Referred

Bank details pending

Can SassaCheck change my banking details?

Why is my status Pending?

SASSA does not publish a reason for each status. SassaCheck cannot see why your application is pending. Check again later or contact SASSA.
